WordPress 4.5 is named “Coleman” in honor of American jazz tenor saxophonist Coleman Randolph Hawkins.
Coleman Hawkins’s first major gig was with Mamie Smith’s Jazz Hounds in 1921, and he settled in New York City. In the Jazz Hounds, he coincided with Everett Robbins, Garvin Bushell, Bubber Miley and Herb Flemming, among others.
